Søndergård Conducts Gershwin Concerto in F
You may have heard of the famously prodigious Kanneh-Mason siblings, whose remarkable story was featured last December in a 60 Minutes program. The eldest, pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, whose playing has been called “calmly commanding” and “unfailingly subtle” by The New York Times, makes her debut with the Minnesota Orchestra in a program that embraces the blues with Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F. Then, Wynton Marsalis’ playful concerto for the entire orchestra that is structured around the language of jazz.
